As spring is nearly here, it’s the perfect time to freshen up your wardrobe with some beautiful prints that make the sunny days feel closer. I was lucky enough to sample a couple of pieces from Sheer Apparel, a sustainable fashion brand who are committed to selling clothes that are made of organic fabrics and are produced with fair working practices. The clothes I sampled were all of a beautiful quality, and the design details were exquisite. My favourite pieces for your tall wardrobe are two skirts that are sure to sail you into the spring. This flirty Fia skirt number by Maska. The best way to describe this skirt is delicate, and that is how it makes you feel (even if in my case you’ll never quite look it!) The fitted waist and hips feels reminiscent of a 1930s shape, but the way the skirt then kicks out towards the bottom is fun and pretty. The classic cut, partnered with the paradise print, makes this a perfect choice if you’re looking for an ensemble for a special occasion. I’ve worn it here, dressed down with a silk shirt and ankle boots, but I really think a garment like this should be dressed up for a gorgeous spring garden party, champagne in hand. The second I tried was this Eerika skirt by Mukava, it is a large full skirt covered in a green and orange foliage print. The detail of the print reminds me of abundant tropical hanging baskets. If you’re like me and you appreciate a pattern that is bold but also extremely elegant and classy you’ll love this skirt. The cotton is thick but the craftsmanship of the design gives the skirt great movement so it is a flattering shape. I tried pairing it with a plain white shirt, as I really feel this is an outfit where the skirt should do all the talking. London was chilly when I tried these, so I’m still in boots, but this skirt would be perfect with sandals once the sun arrives.
One of the great advantages of both these skirts is that they are made for a tall woman’s frame. They are cut beautifully, and the length will be shown off best by a pair of long legs.
