2017 has been a challenging year for many of us. There have been highs, lows and everything in between but that’s how life works, right? We’ve grown another year older and another year wiser. We’ve reached the end of one and the beginning of another. It’s almost time to start a new year but before we do, let’s take a moment to celebrate everything that the last year has thrown at us.
I for one am grateful to all of you who have visited the site to read the latest fashion, wellbeing and inspiration pieces from our global team of contributors. I am grateful for the #teamtall community, where once again, we have seen new friendships formed on and offline, we’ve seen women reaching out to show their support for other women… most of the time, women they’ve never met and the space that was created to support others has gone from strength to strength. Yes, I started the group but I am not responsible for the magic that happens within it. And I am proud to be a part of it.
I would like to say a special thank you to all of our amazing contributors. They have delivered creativity, experience and advice to our readers in the shape of hundreds of articles that we’ve published here at Tall Guides Magazine this year. You are an inspiring team of women and you have inspired, informed and improved the lives of many. THANK YOU.
It’s time to take a break and enjoy time with our friends, our families, our pets or by ourselves. Whatever this time of year represents for you and however you choose to spend it, I hope you enjoy every minute and I look forward to hearing all about it in the #teamtall facebook group!
We’ll be back from the 8th January and if you’re on the list, the TG Weekender (our weekly newsletter) will be back in your inbox on Saturday 13th January.
Before we make a dash for the mince pies, let’s hear from a few of our contributors…

2017 has been a very exciting and adventurous year for me. During this year, I discovered this tall community which I never knew even existed. It has been wonderful to hear and share so many similar life experiences that only other tall women can understand. This community helped inspire me to start my own fashion brand and blog for tall women. I look very forward to 2018 to continue to meet other tall women in this community and launch my new brand. If you haven’t done so already, please check out my new blog about that I call “Looks that work” and it is about how tall women can dress for specific office/work occasions.

Hey everyone!! It has been a year of big changes for me – leaving a job after 9 years and deciding to set up my own business. I have so much to be grateful for – huge support from friends, family, new friends, and virtual friends! All of it helps – being connected with people – whatever shape or form – is still a connection. I have learnt a lot from being part of the Tall Guides community. Reading great articles and being inspired by all the positivity that’s shared. Learning (lots) and getting good advice from Sallee too! So my Christmas message is one of gratitude – grateful to be part of this community (it was lovely to meet some of you at the Birthday party), grateful for all the inspirational messages and support that are shared in the #teamtall facebook group. My website will be launched in January, but in the meantime, you can follow my new company on LinkedIn.

2017 was a funny year, but we can all agree that there is no better time to be a tall woman! #teamtall is growing as such a warm, supportive group of ladies who are the among the kindest I’ve met. This year, I attended the #teamtall birthday event and was blown away by the inspirational women I met. I plan to attend many more in the future! Tall girls, embrace 2018, work that height, and rule the world! Thank you all for continuing to show me how fabulous, sassy, and funny this community can be. Long may it continue! 2017 was also the year I published my first book, which you can check out here!
